The Player
No stars, just talent.
Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins) is a movie studio executive who oozes confidence and success. Griffin is familiar with the rules of the game at the studio, and he is a master player. He's being stalked by some frustrated writer whose story pitch he brushed off. The writer has been sending Griffin postcards threatening to kill him. But there are more dangers; Larry Levy (Peter Gallagher), a slippery executive from Twentieth Century Fox, is about to take over Griffin's job.
Griffin tracks down David Kahane (Vincent D'Onofrio) he suspects to be the mysterious writer. The two argue and Griffin accidently kills him only to discover that he has killed the wrong man. While plotting Larry Levy's downfall, he's hounded by the real writer and an obsession with "Ice Queen" artist June Gudmundsdotter (Greta Scacchi) who'd been the deceased's girlfriend.
